Compare
A proposed crypto-payments price model. Here's the math.
This local prototype models a 0.500% base rate with no modeled per-transaction fee or stacked add-ons. Use it to compare planning assumptions against Coinbase Commerce, Helio, BitPay, NOWPayments, CoinGate, Cryptomus, TripleA, and BoomFi before a production provider and pricing cutover.

Effective rates are static planning estimates, including modeled surcharge assumptions. MoonTap production pricing, settlement, custody, and payment-provider integrations remain pending cutover.

Planning inputs use a $50 average transaction size, fixed-rate and auto-offramp assumptions where noted. Verify current provider terms; MoonTap has no live production settlement or Solana Pay integration in this local build.
Planning assumptions
Eight fee-model assumptions to verify before you integrate.
These are static local comparison inputs, not a current provider audit or a MoonTap production price quote. Confirm all fees and terms directly with each provider before making a decision.
Modeled per-transaction fee
BitPay charges $0.25 / tx · Stripe charges $0.30 / tx
The MoonTap local model uses percentage-only pricing. Production commercial terms are pending.
Modeled off-ramp surcharge
Helio adds +0.5% to settle in USDC instead of native crypto.
The model assumes no off-ramp surcharge. A production settlement path has not been connected.
Local quote-lock behavior
NOWPayments adds +1% if 'Fixed Rate' or 'Fee paid by user' is on — both are default in production.
Local checkout stores a short-lived quote lock; external quote and settlement providers are still cutover work.
Modeled swap surcharge
Helio adds +0.25% per token swap — stacks on multi-asset orders.
The 0.500% model has no per-swap surcharge. MoonSwap routing is not connected in local mode.
Custody design pending
BitPay, NOWPayments, Helio, CoinGate, Cryptomus all hold your funds.
MoonTap does not custody or pay out funds in local mode. Production custody and payout design are pending.
Asset-conversion risk pending
Coinbase Commerce delivers raw crypto — merchants are exposed to price swings until they manually swap.
No auto-swap occurs in local mode. Production asset conversion and price-risk controls remain unconnected.
Settlement costs pending
TripleA, BitPay, BoomFi charge SWIFT / ACH fees on payouts.
The local build has no banking or payout rails. Production settlement costs require provider decisions.
Feature and pricing policy pending
Helio's 1% rate requires a 'HelioX' subscription. BoomFi paywalls subscription billing.
This is a proposed policy model; production feature availability and pricing must be finalized at cutover.
Production assumptions
0.500% is a local model, not a live price guarantee.
These are intended economics, not evidence of a running payment network. Provider, compliance, custody, settlement, and pricing decisions are required before production launch.
Planned routing architecture
The production design proposes MoonSwap routing on Solana and direct rails elsewhere. No wallet payment, swap, or settlement provider is connected in this local build; multi-chain routing remains a future decision.
Custody and payout model pending
The local prototype does not custody, settle, or pay out funds. Production custody, compliance, payout, and reconciliation responsibilities must be defined with the chosen providers before launch.
Proposed fee allocation
The local model starts merchants at 0.500% before a policy discount and assumes no MoonTap swap surcharge. Routing, slippage, and payer allocation are not yet production terms because MoonSwap is not connected.
Local policy preview, no stacking
The local policy models holder discounts up to 20% and volume discounts up to 15%, selecting one path rather than stacking them. Production holder eligibility, volume data, and commercial pricing still need final verification.
